I found a new service shop the other day. The head mechanic was a girl who really knew what she was talking about. Anyway I booked the BA for it 10000 k service and when I went back she says to me. No major problems, even suggested a few interesting mods and offered to go through a normal servicing with me so I was up to speed with it. The shop also offered free oil disposal. Pretty good I thought. She then showed me a customed BA they had in the shed. Beautiful. I realised I had made a good choice. Anyway she says that the AI mod I had done was a bit rough and she could fix it all up for $60. What AI mod I says to her? I have never touched it. I bought the bike off the floor from the shop and have never fiddled with the AI. She says to me, judging by the look on your face you don't know what I am talking about. Sure enough we get down beside of the bike and she point to the AI hose near the spark plug. I feel it and it is as hard as a rock. There is a ball bearing in there!!!!! As I said I bought this bike from the dealer. It was the demo bike with 200ks on it., but as the factory had just caught fire I knew I was going to have to wait a long time to get another. It seems the shop modified the AI straight off the boat and didn't tell me! I thought it was still all there. The bike is running great and they have also offered for me to come around with the apes I have to have a look at fitting them. She knew her way around the bike and even caught me out a couple of times. I am definitely going back to chat about mods when I get back from the far north next week. And before you all ask....she is not bad looking either. Makes you wonder what else they did before I bought it. Apparently the boss was a bit dark when he heard they had sold the bike to me. Obviously he wanted it there. But I am still happy with it. A great tropical 1200 k ride coming up. Can't wait!! Cheers

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Apparently she is a single Mum, with a boyfriend. Rides a sportster though. I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. I am definitely going back! You always feel a bit funny having someone else touch your bike but this shop has a confidence about them, which is a pleasant surprise. I once picked up a bike after a service that failed to stop at the corner!!!! Never went there again
