1. Floorboards - excellent. Allows foot movement. Pricey but a good investment
2. Gel Palm Gloves - I have the Olympia Perforated Gel Glove, love them. Not over-priced either.

4. Chaps - I picked up a set of $50, unlined chaps and used them extensively last Fall, Winter and Early Spring. Makes riding in 40-50 degree temps quite comfortable. Get somewhere whip them off and you don't look like a goon. Don't see much need to spend more than $50 or so, shop around.
