Was at my local meet tonight, and a guy pulls up on one. I must admit they look pretty cool, but they have a Suzuki engine according to the guy a SV650, the chrome was pitting on the bits on either side of the tank. Three months old, he had put a few extras on it from the dealer which cost including the purchase of the bike £5,500 not a bad looking bike for that sort of money. The only thing is it looks as though it will rust to heck in a matter of months.. What are your thoughts on them?

The Hyosungs seem to be improving with every model much like the Hyundai cars have. I take my hat off to them for producing a bike with an individual look although i dont particularly like it my son things its AWESOME. You get what you pay for?

I think Roadbike did a review on one. Actually they were pretty positive. If you only had a bout $5,000 to spend on a new bike I guess it would be okay. But for that you could get a pretty nice low mileage used America or SM. I agree it looks like a mini V-rod.

It looks good from a distance, but it's let down by quality control and quality of materials.

Time will tell.
We all laughed at Toyota and Datsun years ago...now we see Hyundai and Kia all over the roadways and wonder whether they can ever stand the same test of time...

If I wanted to ride a Vrod, I'd buy a real one instead of a flimsy tinfoil copy.

Like you said ok from a distance, close up I thing even I could weld up the frames better. If you just want a bike to ride to work in all weathers and throw away after 4 years it might do.

Are they from China, or Korea? I know everything that used to come from China is total junk - it still is.

Korean company with a manufacturing plant China. I haven't figured out the 11th character in the VIN yet to determine how to get a "real one" from Korea.

Some people don't know motorcycles. Look at York, PA. Overweight, overpriced, underpowered, handle badly, and brakes stink - but............. other than that, they're the best motorcicles in the world.

Funny that you mentioned the two together like that. I was reading cycle world a couple of months ago and there was an article on Hyosungs that started out "Hyosung, the Hundi of the motorcycle world..."
