Carl Palmer, Jeff Porcaro, Steve Gadd, Ginger Baker, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Hal Blaine, Billy Cobham, Ringo Starr, Phil Collins, Don Henley, Mickey Hart, Spencer Dryden, John Densmore...can there really be just one "best"?

LOL
Up to a short time ago I would have had your back on this one. A buddy challenged me to give an honest comparison between Bonham and Peart.
I gotta say, Neil Peart gives Bonzo a run for his money.

The Krupa - Rich drum duels were great, but I think you all are over looking Chick Webb....and by the way Lionel Hampton could do a pretty good job. Of course we are talking about days when real music was produced and not just today's noise.

Funny that. Thats what my mum used to say when i was listening to Twisted Sister 20 years ago. And even funnier, thats what her mum used to say to her when she was listing to the Beatles.
And so the cycle continues.

Krupa wrote the books that they learned from.
Very true, Buddy Rich even copied Krupa's stage setup/appearance etc. although I think he (Rich) eventually outclassed Krupa technically.

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams
