I use the back of the bag as a template. I wanted the support to follow the contour of the inside of the bag for maximum support, made my marks so the bag has support from top of bag to bottom of EZ bracket. It is actually about half the height of the bag and I was surprised at how well it fit. The Plexi is inside the bag (slipped into the back pocket with a bit of work) and basically sandwiches the bag between the EZ bracket and plexi.
I think it should hold up well.
I loaded it to see how it would sag and it did pretty darn well. You got me curious so I just weighed my tool bag and it’s a touch over 25 lbs and no noticeable sag.
As for ripping…I slightly rounded the edges in hopes of preventing that. The bags are attached with four 5/16" bolts and 1” diameter washers.

Honestly…I expect to have to remake the supports after some time. Plexi is good but I expect it to crack with time. I think aluminum might be better down the road.
