I had to install a shorter side- stand as the bike is now almost 2 inches lowered from front and back.
Now to the bad part – lowering the bike impacts my riding style, while cornering/ sharp turns make the pipes scrape the road as the bike is too low. This has only happened twice so I need to take it easy while turning/cornering. I will see how this goes and might need to turn up the setting on the rear shocks.
It’s been about 2 years since I lowered my bike. I still use my original kickstand. As far as scraping the pipes, I have the D&D’s on mine. They slant upward towards the rear of the bike, which allows me to take the corners very sharp and not scrape the pipes. The floorboards will scrape before the pipes will.
