Seriously, if all that's been said about global warming is true, then it's too late to do anything about it. I am concerned, but it's too late. And, not enough people care.
My Take on the "hole on the ozone layer" :
1. How do they measure the "hole"?
The U.S. Navy launches a hydrogen balloon from a base in Antarctica. When the balloon slows its ascent, it is in the ozone. Lo and behold, a glow is visible in the upper stratosphere, allowing the navy to get coordinates and see how big it is.
2. That's stupid!!! The ozone (O3) has an extra atom of oxygen, and that extra atom is very unstable, looking for something to react with or attach to. When the hydrogen (H2) filled balloon ruptures, the H2 can't ignite because of the oxygen deficiency at that level in the atmosphere. Then, when it is in contact with the unstable O2 atoms, a burning away of the edge of our ozone layer occurs.
Solution? STOP MEASURING THAT DARNED HOLE -- WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW ITS DIMENSION!!!
