Posting this thread for folks considering lowering their bike:
I had my bike lowered (front and rear) by my dealer using Progressive parts and below are my initial impressions:
•The ride is certainly better
•Bike handles well
•Above all I think it looks great
I had to install a shorter side- stand as the bike is now almost 2 inches lowered from front and back.
Now to the bad part – lowering the bike impacts my riding style, while cornering/ sharp turns make the pipes scrape the road as the bike is too low. This has only happened twice so I need to take it easy while turning/cornering. I will see how this goes and might need to turn up the setting on the rear shocks.
