I sympathize with you Newt, it's rained all day today and I just got my Progressive suspension stuff on the bike and want to test it out. Figures, doesn't it? Worst drought in 100 years and it rains this weekend...maybe 07-07-07 will be lucky for someone else...

I sympathize with you, I just got some more work done on my ankle I crashed LAST year and I'm on no riding status this weekend. Its NICE out too. Back to work on Tuesday though, take a guess how I'll be getting there?

I know how you all feel when they amputated my finger i couldnt ride for about 6 weeks, tried but the vibration made me sick. I still remember how good it felt to take charlette out when everything had healed, had to put fresh fuel in her as she ran like a dog, as though she was protesting about being left for so long.

I hear you. We've had 'rain bombs'(as the wetaher people call them) dropped all over Central Texas for over two months. Don't mind riding in the rain but I do like to be able to see the road. Now it's clearing up-and getting REALLY HOT!

Newt,
Hang in there brother, Mildred isn't going anywhere without you. Get your health back and the weather will clear up eventually. If you don't have your health, everything else becomes secondary.
I haven't been able to ride for while either since I am out in the Pacific ocean working. So I kind of understand the frustration.

Hope you're well and back riding Mildred again soon Newt. Had the wettest June on record over here last month, lots of areas and folks' homes badly flooded this region. Went for a ride last Sunday, around 120 mile and managed to catch three torential thunder storms during that ride, full leathers but rain still managed to get through in some uncomfortable places . Roads were like rivers, not much fun really. Bike coped fine by and large, but now back to the occasional starting problems I thought I'd gotten rid of....

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Newt. Be patient, you'll be riding soon.

Know the feeling,I too am having major withdrawals- firstly me & my 07 America bit the dust approx 3 weeks ago, insurance write off and waiting for a new one to arrive in about another 2 weeks- one Norton in pieces waiting for parts, the other, broken kickstart pawl and the Beemer I lent to my mate while his gets fixed, and to top it all off the weather here is @#$% anyway. The Minister of War & Finance says that it will get better, and we all know that wives are right all the time apparently, still won't fix the withdrawals, spose I'll just have to have another single malt.
