Eligna Antique Oak in the living room, Quadra Nero 'tiles' in the kitchen and hall. I've been struggling with the fake floors / laminate concept for awhile, but finally gave in.

After a trying experience with HD taking a whack at my Mother's house flooring job, I try to avoid the big box stores, so I bought from the local family owned hardware & lumber store in case I need some help down the line. It turned out to be a stroke of luck in that the local store has a full time flooring guy who was once a contractor, and has been to Uniclic school. He came over for a few hours and gave us a tutorial, and loaned me his Uniclic specific tools and his table and mitre saws.

I love small town life.
