Just a suggestion from a newcomer, be nice to have a separate section perhaps in Technical labelled 'Windscreens', as it appears that most newcomers (like me) ask the same questions. Attach a note from the admin suggesting that posters with experience with a screen type indicate their height and some sort of line of sight reference (do you like to look thru or over the screen?). I think that info is very important and makes a review more relevant.
I think that would help us newbies alot. There is alot of great info spread out in diff threads.

Never rode behind a windscreen. Isn't it like pushing a 4X6 piece of plywood in front of you? What happens with the big trucks going the opposite way on the small 2 lane road? Does it jerk the entire front end as hard as it jerks the rider around? I agree that this area could use it's own heading.....

I'm 5'10" riding on a corbin solo, with a 14" WindVest. Awesome, totally awesome. My best friend (rides Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic) rode my bike, was impressed with the 'vest, got a memphis shades slim, and hated it, had to spend more money to get lowers, still had problems, and by that time, he'd spent more money AND time trying to get to where I was in 15 minutes. I look over the screen in straight lines, through it in a curve, especially the hard ones.

no not really,

figure it like this, your body is putting up resistance and your using your arms and body to pull, push into it. A shield takes that away and makes it easier on your body.

as to over or through,,, its a personal preferance. I perfer to look over the top, specially in the rain.
