So you are saying the purple wire is a 12v hot lead thats there specifically for accessory use? I assume you just attch the other terminal of the socket to any ground point, right? By the way, hard to tell from the pic, but what kind of socket is that? Is it for cig lighter type accessory plugs? Actually come to think of it, if they fit that hole i could just get a cig lighter socket from autozone for probably $2-3 and find a rubber cap to plug it with.
