Your right there are lots of great roads in the area! We have thrown around some ideas, but we haven't decided for sure yet. We'll map a couple routes and we can pick one when we get there, or we could even split off into two or more smaller groups- whatever works for you! One thing is for certain- this will be a laid back low stress trip, so leave your watch at home get ready for some fun!

16 days until the rally, but I have off the entire week prior to the rally, so my celebration starts in 9 days!

Levi,
We will not be making any day runs to KY! Don't even ask! Your wife has asked Terry and I to keep an eye on you!

In order to get Levi's mind off of the legal 16 year olds just a state away, and because I can't sleep, I'll throw out what I'm thinking. We have plenty of options for Saturday.

Option 1- Talimena Trail - We could head down to Mena grab some grub, and hit the Talimena Byway. We could ride West on the Byway stopping at several of the many overlooks to snap some pics to prove to our wives we wern't actually gambling in Vegas all weekend. Once we hit the western end of the Byway we turn around and head back to Mena zipping through the twisties. I really like this road! I figure it would take us 4-6 hours depending on how long we jacked around with our photo ops and meals. We could stop at Queen Wilhelmena Lodge for some lunch if we were so inclined. This run would be 140 to 150 miles.

Option 2- Take 28 east from Y City and follow it all the way to Scenic hwy 7. We could then head south on 7, and follow it all the way to Hot Springs where we could grab some grub, and then follow 270 back to the lodge. This would be about 180 to 190 miles and take us about 6 hours as far as I can tell.

Optoion 3- Head up to Mount Magazine. There are a couple ways to get there, but we could take 28 up to 10 and then head up 309 to Mount Magazine and on to Paris then down 109 to Magazine and Booneville and then on to 71 which would take us back to the lodge. This run would be 150 miles and take about 6 hours.

Option 4- Beats me. You tell me what sounds good. Longer, shorter, faster, slower. I'm open to all suggestions. We can split into smaller groups and go wherever or stick together it's your ride. What sounds good?

Not at all! Kick back and relax if you'd like. You and Levi can stay behind and have some "Quality" time.

All three routes would be sweet. This is the route I took from OKC to Memphis

I'd flip a coin, but your third rt up to Paris looks very enticing. Especially 309

7 is green and beautiful, having experienced it first hand from Hollis south to 5

Hey....Saturday night(and Fridays) on Garrison Avenue in Fort Smith are multiple live bands playing (both indoor and outdoor stage) and the culinary choices are wide and varied. They even have a ferris wheel in the river park along with a double-decker bus.........if anyone be interested that is

Terry has showed some interest in going to Magazine as well. If ya'll reccomend it that might be the way to go. I think we might hit the Talimena Byway on the way up there Friday, so that probably won't work for Saturday anyway.

Does the Weidieker serve steak? Donny's buying one for my birthday the 8th. I have it in writing... Oh yeah and Yota can you bring some of those party hats with the rubber bands? Angelis said he was lending me his custom seat to break in. Life is good...12 days to go

Well Guy's, I finally got a chance to log on! Been as busy as a one legged man in a butt kick'in contest! I've been helping my "Mother in law" Move! all because she lets me sleep with her daughter! What a tail woop'in it has been! Ok about the rally route, I would like to vote on the Y city to Mt. Magazine and on to Paris, Then head to Dardanelle to Mt.Nebo Now thats a cool ride to the top of Nebo. And back to Y city. Just my vote but I would be totally cool with any route you doods would want! Drilling holes in the mountain air on my favorite bike will be plenty good for me! See ya'll soon! T

That sounds good to me Terry! I guess we can just take a vote when we get there to decide.

On a side note, I don't know if the hotel gets Spike or not, but if it doesn't I gotta find a bar or something that does on Saturday. UFC 75 is on for FREE that night on Spike TV! Woohoo! Any other UFC fans going? Maybe we could all go somewhere and watch it together and have some barley pops? Hmmm...

Sounds good. Looks likes it's only going to be about a 2 1/2 - 3 hr. drive for us. That should put us there around 11am if we leave at 8. Do you all know your approximate ETA to Talihina?

BTW - are there any SKI HILLS in Arkansas?

Probably at the Y-city Lodge, since you will be coming from the east. We should be there between 2:30 and 3:00pm on Friday the 7th if everything goes well and we can meet the Texas gents around 11-12. If you're riding from the east via Little Rock you will have nice ride also coming through Hot Springs to Y-city on 270, Yota.
