I just wanted to start a fresh thread, because there was some confusion as to where everyone was meeting. Originally we were staying at Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, but due to a lack of rooms, we moved the gathering to Y City. TMax found the lodge for us. His original quote is copied below.

"Ok to bring everyone up to speed, Nathen and I have spoken to each other and have decided to make "Y" city Mountain Inn the offical meeting spot for Friday Sept. 7 & Sat. Sept.8 Link: http://www.ycitymountaininn.com/index.html
Please make your own arrangements by calling 479-577-2489 and tell them that you are with the Bonnevilleamerica.com triumph riders for the group rate of $40.00 per night. The only thing he said he could not garranty is the avilability of smoking vs. non smoking rooms but had plenty of rooms available at this time. We are going to have a blast and as mentioned earlier Nathen and I will be there rain or shine so come join us for some mountain riding and beautiful scenery!"

Well, I'm looking forward to the trip even more now. I just climbed aboard my bike for the first time in three long weeks, and I need more of it. The rain, work and baby's nursery have taken up pretty much every minute of the past month! 11 Days till the baby comes, and then 60 or so days till Arkansas! This will turn out ot be one heck of a summer!

We will be just south of Mount Magazine. That might even be a Saturday ride destination.

Robert, Havana is the town that we ride into and head north up to Mt. Magazine. Go to www.mapblast.com and scroll into Havana, east north east of Y city, when you view Havana you can see the mountain road to the top of Arkansas. It's a way fun ride up there and back down!

Larkfarms.....Those cities/towns are all considered local,
Mt. Magazine and Fort Smith are about 40 minutes away from Y-City and Havana & Belleville are just East of Mt. Magazine a few miles.......Y-City is just South of Waldron on US-71....

tmax...there is a great restaurant on top of Mt. Magazine..and for those that like lots-o-twisties...there is Hwy-23 up to Eureka Spring and back down old, scenic US 71 or US 59 with a jog back across the Talimena Drive to camp !.......great stake houses in FSM,,,Doe's Eat Place and the Red Barn....and of course...mucho Mexican and Chinease/Vietnamese food.....a virtual culanary feast ...if one chose to call it that ? Oh yes, and BBQ can't forget the BBQ (wow, all this food talk is making me sound like my Harley & Goldwing friends)....

1300 miles is a long way and I'm starting a new job mid August. 24 years and I pick now to start over. I have an uncle in Havana and Belleville is my mothers hometown, which she will be in on Sept 15 for her 55 year reunion. I feel bad about missing this one, I have alot of memories there. Thats where my grandfather tought me to shoot, I killed a nine foot diamond back up near Spring Lake, which my grandfather helped build the dam there. Ah it would be nice to go back, but I can't right now, however if you make this an annual event hmmmmm.

Donny, have you even taken 23 North ? great road and Eureka Springs is at the end.....much more exciting than hwy 7 in my opin. also Hwy 59 both in Ar & Ok (they run parallel) is pretty scenic...not like Hwy 23 and Talamena Byway though...
I had a business meeting Saturday in springdale and took the long way - 23 to huntville then across on 412.. it was a nice 130 mile ride..then the screamer home to muldrow.. .I-540

I looked at my bike this weekend, but that's as close as I've come to riding in a while. I bought a new bike (without an enigine), so my usual free time on the weekends has been taken up with trying to get in shape. Nothing like expecting a new baby to make you realize you are overweight and destined for a heart attack! I plan on turning things around though. I already lost fifteen pounds. The weather looks good, so I'll at least get to do some commuting for a while.

Bring on the Ouchitas! I need some saddle time in the mountains!

I think I reserved just one queen bed. there are two cabins they put aside for us, I don't think it should be a problem. You can stay in my room Yota, but we're not sharing a bed. I'm left handed but not THAT kind of left handed. I'll bring an extra sleeping bag or maybe the place can lend us a rollaway bed.
