I think the others may say that going to 16" will be going too small. I'm gonna say I'm not technical enough to say either way (really I'm not. I have a dad that is however and I'm learning all the time.) I just went and put the 18" rim on, as I wanted everything (other than the brakes) to be the same, as the estmate after the crash included a new frame. I wanted to ride the bike round the block and hope that everything felt ok. If it didn't feel ok then we'd know the frame had a problem and strip the bike down completely and sort it out. If the front wheel was different, it wouldn't feel the same not matter what. (We did some other measurements and not just rely on my gut feelings.)

The thing with Truimph is that a lot of the parts are interchangable. (Read that as they are cheapskates and reuse bits over and over again.) Hence why the T'bird wheels fit, the Tiger brake calipers fit, and so on. And why the brake disks are the same...

The bloke who I bought the T'bird Sport wheel of asked how much a Triumph Dealer would charge me for a wheel from them. I wouldn't know as I didn't ask. I may be a thought though. I shudder to think how much it would cost from them...

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....
