I got my ride back together after the chain guard deal from a couple weeks ago. I just finished the first test flight and the chain is popping?? It only does it under power and seems like it is in the same spot every time. I have put the bike on the stand and re-adjusted the chain...still popping. I started with 1" of slack up and down and adjusted it out to almost 2". The chain is acting weird in that it gets very tight a 1/2" or less of slack at one point then goes dead loose as I continue to turn the wheel. Help. I am $600 deep and still not rolling. I priced a chain at the dealership this morning DID $135.00 plus $65.00 to brad it. I bet I need both sprockets if I put a chain on it as well?? I checked the run out on the promary shaft....none or 2 or 3 thousands at best. I wonder if there are still pieces of chain guard ground into the chain?? Thanks for the help fellas. Just a little ill after a full day of putting it back together and staring another couple hundred minimum in the face to get it back going.
