Note - When you pull the oil drain plug, the oil shoots forward quite a distance (18 or 20 inches maybe?) for the first quart or so.
One of the good things about our Triumphs is the bike on the kickstand position is just right for an oil change. You don't need a lift, etc.
Quite a few members of this forum are running Rotella T synthetic with good lab results. The proof is in the
puddin'I've been using the same original drain plug washer for 15,000 miles with no leaks. I haven't even bothered (too lazy) to heat it.
