Driver Alert – Western Maryland

The Maryland Department of Pubic Safety today issued a driver alert covering all primary and secondary roads west of I-95. According to Maryland Department of Motor Vehicle records, a valid registration and license plate was today issued to one John Darrin for a Triumph Bonneville America motorcycle. Drivers are warned to be on the lookout for a black and silver motorcycle (distinguishable from all the other such motorcycles due to its unique and superior vertical/parallel twin-cylinder engine design), driven by a shaky old man. Caution should be exercised when approaching this driver, especially on anything other than flat, level, straight, empty roads. If you find this driver in a horizontal position, please do the following, in order:

1. Find and upright the motorcycle so it isn’t damaged further.
2. Call the paramedics despite any protests by Darrin.
3. Ask him just what he thought he was doing, anyway. Ignore the answer.

Mr. Darrin:
I'm riding thru Frederick (from Hagerstown) on Saturday to meet some folks in Taylorsville for a ride around Catoctin. A Triumph owners group from Baltimore, a mix of new/old bikes. Give me a shout if you want to tag along.

Pete - You too!
