Hi,

Hope someone can assist with this question. Thanks in advance. A friend told me that if one is going to do a very long ride, over 400 miles, the front sprocket should be brought up to 18 or 19 tooth in order to lower the rpms'. I am taking 2 long rides this August. No passengers. The first ride will be roughly 1000 miles over 3 days (all highway) and the other trip will be about 450 miles in 1 day, also highway riding. Is this tru about the RPM's? Also, do any other things need to be done other than just putting on a new sprocket? My 2005 TBA is stock with exception of the AI removed and windshield.
Thanks,
Ron
