Bike returned Monday as promised and took it in for MOT (3 years old on 17th) While checking everything I noticed on the new caliper the pin was not fully home holding the pads in, infact it was just about touching the pad nearest the wheel. I unscrewed it half a turn and the pads fell out. No dust cap over the pin.
I also received some indicator lenses, as one on the rear had a mark on it and Triumph decided to give me two because the sun discolours them. Anyway managed to do one and the other side was loose, infact the heads on both screws were non existent. I telephoned the Warranty department and had a bit of a moan, but apparently no one had tried to undo these indicators. They sent me a new pin and dustcover and 4 new screws and washers for the indicators.
I drilled the heads off both screws very carefully and then soaked the screws in WD40 and left them for a couple of hours. Unfortunately they both snapped off. I managed to get one out but cannot get the other out.
Bike passed MOT (Before playing with indicators) and took her out yesterday to look at a private collection of bikes in Blackburn. I broke down on the motorway and had to be collected by the RAC, the left hand coil had decided to pack in.
I am now waiting for two replacement coils and I have gone with PDL a German make, hopefully they will be alright when they arrive..
