Latest issue of Motorcycle Cruiser has a "go your own way" add in it w/ the TBA and TA. Plus the T-100 and standard bonnie got best commuter bike pick by Brasfield (I think he was the one) Pretty Cool.

FJ...have not you seen the news paper this morning ? That is a copyrighted HONDA/Harley Davidson slogan as Honda moves to aquire HD (and some here are merely angst that some of our marquee might be assembled in Thiland? ) It could be much worse...Lifan/ Triumph !!!!!!!

heh... the die-hards will still rant on about it being "the only american bike" despite the fact that almost the only remaining american part today is the assembly.

I am shocked I would have thought Harleys loyal fans would have killed off any talk of a Honda take over, what sells Harleys in USA is the fact it's believed to be American built, here in the UK we sat idle as britains car and motorcycle industry was decimated, Triumph as it is now is british owned and mostly British built it trades on it's Britishness and that is exactly why it's succeding. Any atemmpt by Honda to take over Harley should be rebuked, otherwise you'll see your heritage sold down the drain, and that would be a very sad day indeed.

Glad to see Triumph advertising. Honda is not buying or even looking at Harley  Their engineers would suffer brain damage when trying to understand how Harley got so few horses out of so much mass in the 21st century.

Where did you get infomation about Honda buying Harley?
Just last week a report stated Harley was giving a serious look at buying Ducati?

Well, in our local paper (Southwest Times Record) in the business section, the AP article said Honda was considering a controlling share in HD...possibly pushing the price to $70 a share or more...this after a rumor that HD and the Texas investment group that has controlling interest in Ducati had "coffee" about a possible merger.

Otisfirefly, this comment is not meant to put down British manufacturing but if Ford had not aquired Jaguar and LandRover the marques would not be doing as well as they are doing now.

A Harley/Japanese Cruiser....Hmmmm? I wonder if we would see something like this as a marketing tool? Sort of like burger king. HD Merchandise?? Bob
