Ijust got back from riding the coast of Maine, met alot of different riders and I totally understand why you felt as you do.
Bike ran great the whole time.
I wish I knew how to get rid of scratches and swirlls on tank and fenders , any Ideas?
And I learned the BTA develops its own personality and stop looking for "whats that noise" and just enjoy the bike.(unless the noise is a problem of course).
