Where I am (Brisbane) we've actually had about 35mm of rain in the last 3 days - best rain in more than five years - however the dams are still down to 18% capacity.

Most of Australia didn't have that rain however - parts of the Murray-Darling basin (where we grow 40% of our food) have been told that come July 1 there'll be zero water allocated for farming for the first time ever, because the little water left in storage is being held for emergency rationing for domestic & minimal stock use.
