Have you received the plug yet? Let me know if you have any problems with wiring. Remember in order for the pins to be pushed in to the plug they need to soldered very cleanly. I cut the crimp tabs off. Before you put the wires in double check its the right one.I left the pos 1/2 loop as it was and used 3/5 for the immobiliser. The remote start does'nt work although the ignition comes on but why would you want remote start!. The sensitivity of mine was adjustable and I have it on max.
I too live in Scotland and my rev counter does'nt seem to leak!
