The left hole's the standard spot for an alarm LED. The one supplied with the cheetah alarm will fit straight into it (along with the supplied LED clip). The oval hole on the right's for clock adjustment buttons if you fit the clock instead of the tacho. I drilled an extra hole for mine because I had switches in both the blanked holes (hazard lights & driving lights).

The bike already has the wires running from the alarm plug to the console for the LED. You can either Fit the LED using the alarm's current wires, or cut it off and use the wires that're already fitted to the bike. This is easier if you can find the 2 pin plug that's under the console. I got mine from the extra (unneeded) wiring harness that comes with the tacho if you buy it separately. If you dont' have that ask around - someone here'll have one they can send you.

I've not had either gauge leak - maybe they have REAL rain in Scotland. I don't think they can be disassembled easilly - you could try a think smear of silicon round the edges but if the bike's new I'd take it back to the dealer and complain - the seals should be weatherproof.
