Does anyone know where I can buy these for my TBA in the UK, or who'll ship them to me from America? I can get the rear tyre easy enough but can't get a front one.

If you're shopping a stock size Wide White, you're not going to have much luck. Myself, and the others who are running wide whites moved up to a 120.

to run a 120 I understand I'll have trim the bracket on my fender? (is this correct), thats not a problem, but I still haven't managed to locate a 120 either, certainly not in the uk?

I'm running Avon white walls....had to wait a while for the rear, but got one eventually. I'm running a 21 on the front, so had no problem getting it. They're great tires, nice and sticky for the twisties.

As had been said before I don't think cutting the fender bracket is such a good idea as the bracket helps to hold the forks in alignment. The alternative is to make or have made a spacer to bump the fender up a bit.I know some here have done it just can't remember who.Anybody???

Metzler dealers don't carry it? The ME880 comes in whitewalls.

Yep Lee,

I just ordered some Avon Venoms last night. They list a WW for the stock rear rim, but not for the 100/90-18 front that I could see. Even though Dunlops are a fine tire, I'm "Jonesin" for the Avon's ~ zoom, zoom

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in.... many times I see the comments made about Avon and Metzler making whitewalls and indeed they do. The problem is that there are only two manufacturers that make whitewalls in our stock (or as the case may be for the front, reasonably close) sizes. They are Maxxis and Dunlop.... both will require you to modify the front fender brace to accept a 120 tire. Also, Dunlop, and I have this direct from the factory reps have suspended production on a great deal of tires which includes the whitewalls that fit our bike. As it stands now Maxxis is the only game in town. If you are willing to change out rims to different sizes as did Lee by going to a 21" there is no manufacturer that you can get both a front and a rear in the size we need, rear yes, front no. Sorry for the babbling and repeating myself just wanted to make sure it was clear.
All that being said, I have (had I should say) the Maxxis whitewalls on my bike.... was quite pleased with them, only about five thousand miles on them before the bike got wrecked but they were holding up really well, no visible wear and plenty sticky enough for rippin' up North Georgia.

Dunlop still have the K177 (120/90-18) and K555 (170/80-15) on their website...

They are (one or both) O.E. on Honda Magna and VTX 1300/1800, Shadow and ACE, PC800, Kawasaki ZL600, Suzuki Intruder and Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom (according to a web search). Try a Honda dealer?

Good one, Glazer. I didn't realize about the Metzler fronts.

Okay,

some i'm getting some where with these tyres! I can get a Maxxis front 120/90/18 and an Avon rear 170/80/15 (in the uk). I know this is not ideal but can anyone see a major problem with this. Or am I being completly stupid?
