My point was not the capability of the weapon but the certainty of the shot. Until you've had to shoot a dog in the head you can't know how much it sucks but you have to be certain it's a kill shot. 20 years ago we had no SPCA and only one vet who didn't have the time. I missed once long ago and it was ugly. I won't make that mistake again.
