So far, I've got tickets to Lynyrd Skynyrd with the Doobie Brothers for this Friday, Lucinda Williams tix in July, and Riverdance tix beginning of August.....I love riding my motorcyle to music and shows, and then singing really loud all the way home.
What are other folks doing for summer fun beside riding? Or, that riding isn't the only ingredient of the fun?

Have to agree with ya there Paula. I did that once to Carlos Santana in Charlotte (NC), and it was a blast pulling into the parking lot on the bike and sitting in the outdoor Amphitheater, and then riding home at night on a cool summer evening with "Low Rider" running through my head. I'm hoping to do a Ferry Run at least once this summer on the bike, or SOMETHING other than letting it collect dust in the garage!!!! Grrrrrr, freaking job!

I'm afraid to ride to concerts as playing air guitar on the way home would not be a wise idea!

I hope to get some mountainbiking in this summer. Just don't like it when it gets too hot, but I need to get the blood pumping. I am also thinking of turning pro in mini golf.

The shrink wrap is still on my fishing boat, but I've put over 2,000 miles on my bike already this year. I did make a service appointment for the boat today. Looks like it's gonna cost me about 2 grand, whatever.

Boats....another love.
I forgot to mention a July trip to NYC- my daughter is dancing in a national competition. We'll be in Times Square for 5 days. Some folks are very excited about this, but being a country mouse, I am already feeling claustrophobic. The girls will be in master classes all day, then the whole competition thing at night. (Ever see Little Miss Sunshine? Great movie, it's kinda like that, but the girls are older and there is sooooo much more behind the scenes drama) My job is to hoot and holler when they're dancing, but then turn invisible along with the other mothers when our girls are in the vicinity.

We have a 3 event tow boat - a Hydrodyne Grand Sport Elite. it's a competition boat for open events- slalom, trick, and barefoot. That's really the only "summer" gig we have. Down here, we ride the motorcycle, golf, and mountain bike all year, though.

On Sunday (Fathers day) took 3 vehicles, 2 canoes (one inflatable), 4 kids, 2 dogs, and 6 friends / neighbors on 2 hour drive to Yona reservoir in North Georgia. Ferried 2 trips of people and supplies (towing canoes) upstream using my 1958 Johnson outboard on my 1960 13 foot "Sea King" runabout, to an outcropping of rocks that we dove / jumped from all day. Got back home around Midnight....flat wo out...but had a blast...."You might be a redneck" for sure..

I have attended 3 car shows, Fly fished 15 different rivers in the mountain west, Skateboarded, wakeboarded, golfed and drank gallons of whiskey and beer. I plan on 3 camping trips to Powell, flaming gourge and fishing on the Green River, Speed week at the Bonneville Salt Flats, I won a all expense paid trip to the Alstate 400 at the Brickyard and I will likely surf a couple of times in California before the summer is over.
Riding has been GREAT here. I've been on 4 organized rides and countless others this year. My favorite was the Brass Poles and Chrome Pipes ride last weekend.
Hope everyone is having a GREAT Spring. Summer is almost here!

Yep Brian...I'm guessin' just one rendition of "Crazy Train" at 125 decibels would be enough for anybody afterward to not be able to hear all of that gear-whine and camchain noise emiting from that Speedmaster of yours, huh you Headbanger???!!!

Heading down to SC next week to pickup my grandson. Will probably spend most of the next month keeping his dirt bike together. We will head up to Jiminy Peak in Western Mass. I get to act like a 14 year old for a day. Great fun ridding the Alpine Slide, and Mountain Coaster. Check out... jiminypeak.com Mark

A friend and I will be taking part in the Great River Rumble in kayaks. It is a seven-day, approximately 20 miles/day paddle on the Des Moines and Mississippi Rivers from Selma Iowa to Hannibal, Missouri. I suspect my arms will be tired for a while.

That Mississippi kayak thing sounds like a blast there Daniel!!! I've always wanted to do something along those lines. It'd be kind'a like a M/C trip, but on the water. (maybe next summer)

Mark, ever been up to Bromley in Peru VT? Great alpine slide and a bunch of other stuff there too.
Paula, let me know if you need to escape the NYC for a day!!
Also, I hope to get started on a woodworking project with my friend, but I am having trouble finding a weekend that works for both of us... I hate that! I'd start it myself, but he's got all the power tools I am going to build a chest of drawers for my CD collection.
