I should think that Ducati would be a prime target for HD. They already have a sort of a V engine, and HD already has a lot of experience with buying Italian motorbike companies. The line of 2 cycle bikes they had from the late 40's to, maybe, the early 60's were biult by the former Aeromachi. Not sure about KTM, don't they make dirt bikes? They already bought out a European offroad bike line, maybe Huski, Maico or one of those those and did reasonably well selling a military version for a while.
