Moe, I think you have found the problem. Your service manual is a 09/2001 manual. The America info was probably preliminary seeing that the bike came out in 2002. My shop manual, Part Number T3859909-01 issue 4, 10.2004 was released in 10/04 and on page 1.16 it has your specifications for the 790cc Bonneville/T100, but has 120/42 for the 790 America/Speedmaster.
