Thanks for sharing that Chy. I've owned a number of Mopars over the years. They could often be had for a song used. Never did score a 440, but enjoyed the others, especially the slant sixes, 318s, and my last was a '69 Newport Custom with a 383. The car was so large, my two kids used to sleep across the back seat on trips. I wrung every last dram of juice out of her, and she finally ended up in a demolition derby. I didn't attend the event. Perhaps that's a better demise than the junkyard. Hard to say. I hope she won anyway. With one car dealer (Mopar) in this small town, I always had an eye out for a Grandma or Grandpa's New Yorker with 10 or 20,000 miles on it, the 440, and going for around $1,000. Ha ha ha. I guess those days and deals are long behind us now. Then there was the guy who when I mentioned that pristine black '64 Buick Electra 225 that rolled through town every 10 months or so said to me, "You should have told me you were interested in that deuce and a quarter" - [his neighbor's car that in the early '90s had around 12,000 miles on it]- "They [being elderly] gave it to the junkyard guy."
