Well, in that case Greg, maybe one of your silver...err...platinum-spoon feed neighbors to the north actually owns a real one in that case.

Yesterday, as I rode back from that Father's Day shindig that I mentioned earlier, I came through the Palos Verdes area of SoCal. It's a very exclusive, very "high-rent" area of a rocky penninsula that juts out into the Pacific here. As I rode past these mansions that lined the streets, I spotted a very rare italian sportcar made in 1953 called the Siata. It looked just like this......

I pulled over and parked the BA, and never being the "Shy One" ya know, struck up a conversation with the car's owner, a very nice man of about 65 years young, I'd say.

He was telling me that he and his wife had just returned from Italy and driving this exact car in the Mille Miglia Rally there.(BTW, this car had a V8 pushrod motor made by Fiat....DON'T START PEOPLE!!!)

Talk about havin' some dough, huh?!

And Derek...NICE '56!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
