Okay, here we go!
Benny, and Matt, want to do the Stebels(me2). Gilligan's gonna want to re-jet. I just got the T-Bird cushdrive, and want to install it, and the belt drive. I'm sure others will have things to do also. I've still got an extra pair of fork springs.
Throw some dates at me, Uncle Charlie

Charlie,
As always you can count me in. I would like to do the cush drive also, but the belt drive will be a big job so I can wait.
Will offer my support in anyway I can. The first and second weekends in July are shot right now.
Was going to ask some of the CT boys for some help in moving looks like the second weekend July.

I'm actually fairly open the rest of June. July I'm busy around the 4th, and then the last weekend of July is my bachelor party

Hmmm, you guys have me thinking about changing out the springs as well. Time to call Fast Eddy.
I'm out next week (Boulder, CO) and out mid-July for a couple of weeks.

just pick a date.
The date is Saturday 6/30.
Same BAT Time, same BAT Channel.
PM me if you have any questions, or to RSVP.
Directions
From the north(New Haven) Take the Merritt Parkway(rt15)south to exit 38. At the end of the ramp, turn right on New Canaan Ave(rt123), pass under the bridge to the light(1 block). Turn right on Nursery St. and go up the hill to 4-way stop(1 block). Turn left on Ponus Ave. It's the 4rth driveway on the right (less than 1 block).
From the south(New York) Take the Merritt Parkway(rt15)north to exit 38. At the end of the ramp, turn right on New Canaan Ave(rt123). Immediately get in the left lane to turn left at light(around 100 feet). Turn left on Nursery St. and go up the hill to 4-way stop.(1 block). Turn left on Ponus Ave. it's the 4rth driveway on the right (less than 1 block).
Nursery St. is rough, and there is usually sand/gravel at the intersection of New Canaan Ave. BE CAREFULL.
You'll see an American flag 10 feet before the driveway, And I'll post "TECH DAY" signs at the turns.
Ride safe, Can't wait, Uncle Charlie

Looks like I'm free that day. If all goes well I'll get my sceptres on next weekend, rejet and adjust the idle screws.....maybe I can balance my carb's up in CT.
Sometimes you get the bar, sometimes the bar gets you.

I think I can make it this time. Looks like the only thing is a 50th anniversary party the night before. I've already done the Freak, rejetted the mains to 160's and pilot to 45's. Got the TOR shorts on from Matt. I'd love to balance the carb's myself.
My mind and body are still out of tune
I hope they run into each other real soon "

Oh, Charlie, suggestion... Got any access to extra cardboard? A few big pieces to put tanks on when we take them off would be super sweet. Or carpet scraps... something non-scratch.

UC, sounds good! I'll bring my quart of 15 with me again. I can grab another one too. No prob. John, I have NO idea how long that will take Rookie on that too. But I imagine a couple extra hands will make some of the steps easier. Whoever gets there first can help him start the tear down like removing the pipes/shocks/wheel. That much we KNOW has to happen!

Oh another thing, anyone have a good source of vacuum caps for the carbs? I could use a new set, and I figure we're going to be balancing carbs, might as well replace.

I was torn, but got the black ones. I figured the chrome ones were just chrome over plastic, and wouldn't last.
Hope you can make it! Uncle Charlie

Wires in your bars is a FULL day...I did mine in two...Dill's in about 8 hours (split over two days) ...you need to decide if you want to move the directionals (if you havent already)...and do it then....this will add some time to the project but better to do it now!...Frank some week end you can come up here (closer than UC's) and we'll do it...sorry charlie don't meen to rain on your parade...but a bar wiring job is fairly involved for a long ride to and from

WOW why you guys taking so long on the wire jobs? Takes me about 2 to 3 hrs from walking to the bike to taking it for a ride.
Edit: Goes much faster if you pull them off the bike and sit with a pair of helping hands to hold the wires.

yeah both times I took the bars off the bike and the harnesses off the bars...I tend to be anal in my solder joint prep prior to heat shrinking...no points, pins and I tend to be anal in my bar prep...file and sand smooth all hole drilled...and I tend to be anal in my wire documentation (especially since I have a limited supply of colors) ...and I tend to be anal.....well I tend to be anal about the whole thing

LOL well that would explain it. I tear into it , do it , put it back together no messin around. I do make sure I have good solder joints heat the opposit side of the wire to draw the solder in , heat shrink. I also make sure my bars are smooth I use a dremel with cone fine grinding wheel and I use all 1 color! LOL
