I just had the clutch cover on my America replaced (under warranty for bubbling chrome) with the black cover that comes on the Speedmaster. My problem now is that the two covers on the other side are still chrome and just for parts it will cost around 300.00 to replace them with the black ones. Anybody have any ideas about painting them black instead of buying the new ones? Will it work? How do you paint over chrome?
