Any recommendations for a product to prevent faceshield of a full-face helmet fogging up on rainy/wet days? Also, will Rain-X harm a plastic faceshield?
Thanks,
Will

I use Rain-X on my windshield and helmet visor...no issues...so far...there are a couplr of lens waxes that do an OK job with the fogging, but none seem to be great...yet

Yeah, I've seen a couple of the anti-fog liquid/wax products...usually sitting in a display next to the cash register. Too skeptical to buy one to try though.
If I can find it around here, I'd like to try the visor insert by Fog City (I think it's called Pro Shield). It's a clear adhesive film that you apply to the inside of the shield; saw a couple of positive reviews of it since posting.
Thanks,
Will

Wonder if the "spit and wash" process used in a divers face mask would work on a shield?

To prevent fogging a simple bandana around your mouth and nose does wonders. That and with the extra warmth you can keep your visor cracked one notch even in the cold and it doesn't get too chilly.

That is one of the things I really like about my Scorpion helmet. All of their shields are anti-fog and work as advertised.

Thanks Soren; When it's time for a new helmet, I'll take a look at the Scorpions (as well as any other brand that comes with anti-fog shields). I have seen some pretty elaborate breath deflectors for sale; bandana would probably work just as well though. Benny, I've heard about catcrap, but one of the reviews I read recently (Webbikeworld maybe??) said it's not being produced any more. After scooping the litter box this morning, I can assure everyone that it is still being produced at my house. I've got a spare shield; I'll try some things on it over the next few months and see what works. Thanks, Will

I have used catcrap for years, snowboarding goggles and facesheild, works good. I also tried Fog City. They work but I didn't like the look of facesheild, it only covers part of the sheild. I had one that would go from clear to dark with sun light which was cool. Anyways I am back to Catcrap.....
