This is a picture of the removing of the clutch cover after following the service manuel exactly.
The next picture is what the inside of the clutch cavity looks like.
Next is a picture of removing the clutch springs (which will be replaced with stiffer ones).
That is all I did today. Tomorrow I'll use the special tool to removal all the friction plates (tool pictured below).
