I don't think it's swapped. The bike wont start to move until the clutch lever is almost completely let out with the bike in gear.

You get the free play, with the lever all the way out w/ the bike in nuetral, or when moving and in gear rightt?

When you pull the clutch lever in you disengage the clutch plate from the transmission, correct me if I'm wrong.

Sometimes you get the bar, sometimes the bar gets you.
