I got my new 440s, and fork springs the other day.
Shocks went on in about 1/2 hr. Fork springs were an other matter. I tried the turkey baster with a piece of fuel line. After several tries I said the ****** with it and pulled the forks off the bike. I'm glad I did when I dumped the oil out I was surprised at how much sludge was in the bottom of the tubes. No way would I have gotten that stuff out with my baster set-up. I then rinsed out the forks with kerosene. Did this three times till the kerosene came out clean. It took a couple of hours, but at least now I know I got all the old oil out. Only trouble I didn't finish till 9pm last night. Was going to ride to work this morning, but the rain drops were the size of a small child. Will have to wait till Sun morning to see if the money was well spent. The roads I ride here in New England are rough, and I ride two-up a least twice a week.
