I was more of a Godfather horse-head-in-the-bed kinda thing.
That and the site I linked to beats the dead horse in analyzing the Soprano's finale. In a nutshell, Tony dies because not only is the series told from Tony's perspective, but there are dozens of signs and portents (at least) scattered throughout the episode spelling it out.
