Ya know I bet, if you had even just a tiny flat SS tab/blank thing like for the toggle switch, it could cover the lettering and look half decent. Or some black epoxy or something to fill it in? I dunno... Maybe shave it down? Point being, that blank is the perfect size, so modifying it is probably the easiest way.
