I didn’t care for the look of the Stebel Nautilus where the horn’s conventionally placed and no matter how much I played with it there, I thought it would disrupt air-flow to the oil cooler.
With the Ghetto-freak modification, there was plenty of room to place the Stebel within the “gutted†airbox. I fabricated a metal mount that attaches nicely to one of the rear fender bolts using my Polish metalworking tools (2lb sledge, vise, and channels locks). The horn's “exhausts†face forward toward the large opening in the front of the airbox blasting sound forward and the air intake is routed aft.

Placing the horn in this position and removing the Antique style horn I had in front of the oil cooler resulted in a 10 degree difference in oil temperature based on the baseline taken from “Brent’s†oil temperature gauge (was 185 now running at 175 at <= 75 degrees air temp close to seal level).

The supplied relay bolted right next to the others in an existing threaded opening. I was able to use the existing horn wiring connectors to the relay due to its placement.

Hard to see in this photo, but since I always have my float charger extension connected directly to the battery via ring connector and tucked out of the way (I’m out of town every-other week and connect the float charger), I removed the alligator clips from my other cable that came with the float charger and wired it to the supplied fuse and horn. Now I just unplug the horn when I need to charge.

I now sound like a pissed-off ’67 Caddy when I hit the “watch what the F you’re doing†button, even when the Thuderbike’s are a-screaming.
Regards,
Tom
