In my search for the right TBA, I have looked at a lot of colors. I have decided on red, with blue as the second choice. I like the black, but there are a lot of them out there, and it makes the bike look heavier to me. And, of course, the green ones are slower.

Good choice. Green are very slow, blue ones are, well....BLUE. And as for black, well Black mates my butt look big. Go with Red.

Black...there didn't seem to be as many black ones when I got the 03... but then the black with the silver bit on is far better than the others. When the time occured that I had to I looked around for another one, I looked at used ones and they all seemed to be blue. I ended up with the last Black 06 in the country.... but he has the flame tank on...and it just makes him look that bit different. And they are heavy, not matter what the colour. We lifted the 03 on to a trailer.....a normal flat bed trailer.... and they are bloody heavy! And Mark I know my butt is big, so I don't care!

There seems to be a problem with your web browser. It added a "u" to "color".

You can't go wrong with Red.
I saw the new "Pacific Blue/New England White" TBA at a dealer and it looks SHARP!!!
You are right regarding Black..common (i.e. boring)...but does not the Phantom Black got a bit of flake in it?
I have green. I like it alot but my wife recently told me she doesn't like Green...fine time to tell me after I've already had it 3 years!!!

I never thought I would like a blue bike, but my Pacific Blue '07 is gorgeous and garners a lot of positive compliments. I purchased it used, and had I been choosing I would have chosen red - it's more Triumphy!

Caspian Blue, they only made so many. The rest of you are out of luck.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Ultimatley there can be no match for a BLACK Speedmaster. These are the most totally coolest looking of the genre.

Don't look now, but I "believe" Kevin here has just stated for all the world to see that the BLACK Speedmasters resemble a friggin' DONKEY, and NOT the THOROUGHBREDS that the CARDINAL RED BONNEVILLE AMERICAS do!!!
(remember folks...I DIDN'T say this...KEVIN DID!!!)

ya know, I saw a green custom paint set for sale on ebay for a decent price......they wanted to charge me more for a matching rear fender then what they where charging for the paint set!!!!!
I almost did it....I like the green flame sets that much....but it's a BA set and I have an 07 SM and I'm not about to drill into a brand new factory paint set to mount the extra brake line.....I'll hold off for a black flamed set.

Don't worry Rob! One day, after many many years of riding that MULBERRY red Triumph around(a color that's CLOSE to being as beautiful as the old CARDINAL red ones are), you'll get there, Kid!
(In the interim, just try to hang in there as best you can...patience my boy...patience)

But then, I'm really looking forward to riding the Black and Silver one even more.

Heck! You not even FIFTY yet! Ya know...one of prerequisites of retirement is that that beard of yours has to be as "silver" as mine is!
(and speakin' o' silver...I always kind'a liked The Budster's silver BA....I wonder what the heck ever happened to him???....BBBUUUUUURRRRRPPPP!)

Yes John, I think you have made the the right decision. Hopefully you can find an '02 Cardinal red one. They're extremely rare you know. Being the 100th Anniversary version and all. Someting SM owners can only dream about

Obviously, you won't get too many opinions on a question like what is the best color? Right!
Actually, all the colors that I've seen on the BAs and SMs looked great to me. I bought the Mulberry/Graphite primarily because I loved the bugundy red Triumph I had in 70-72. It does appear that there are some very stong preferences, doesn't it?

The only improvement for a black speedy is the addition of the classic triumph two-tone treatment. Yellow, of course. Look to the left, you'll see...
