Okay Jim! HERE'S what you do....

You take those stock mufflers and you drill out, using a 1/2 inch drill bit, THE FIRST forward baffle in each of them.(as those baffles are angled, be careful NOT to drill through the exterior casings of your mufflers)

And THEN, using that same 1/2 drill bit, you dill 4 holes in the back ring-plate, where that little "pea-shooter" thing-a-ma-bob(that's the "technical term" for that thing, of course) juts out the back of those mufflers.

And VIOLA!!!(sorry for the french here)...You've got yourself a nice sounding pair of mufflers(if any of you Limeys are reading this, these are, of course, also known as "silencers") that will be neither TOO LOUD, nor TOO SOFT!!!(and they have a nice basso-profundo sound to them TOO...that's a low, bass sound, and not that irritative high-pitched "EEEEEE" sound!)

AND, they still have that lousy embossed lettering on them that "guarantees" that Uncle Sam says that they are Okey-Dokey for ridin' around that city o' yours!!!
