At issue was the fact that only vehicles stopped at gauntlet were motorcycles, whereby some (unnamed) agency rep would come out and examine bikes' pipes for EPA markings.
Was this a hypothetical situation or did was this an actual checkpoint? Where was it, Colorado?
Man, I'm sweatin' the rule comin' down July 1st. I live in a "developing" part of downtown (i.e. condos going up like weeds,) and I know all it will take is for two or three phone calls to the P.D. from the neighbors (who already think I'm a scumbag in my rowhouse,) and they'll be waiting on me at the end of the block.
I was just about put my stock mufflers on eBay, too. Now I'm learning how to ride my D&D's vewwy vewwwy quietly.
