Went on my 3rd Mission today (3rd in 1 week) and what an HONOR! Have yet to see ANY protestors, only very greatful relatives and attendee's.
Now am standing by for the young Navy Corpsman that was KIA and is on his way home to Oregon.
Have never been one for funerals, but these are much different when rendering honors to a fallen solder.
If any of you have a chance to ride with the Patriot Guard Riders - do so. We are honoring those that have given thier life, or a least a significant portion of it, to allow US the freedoms that we enjoy, even if that is to complain about what is going on in Washington D.C. What other country are you allowed to do THAT without fear? Not too many.
