Okay, so there's a sissy bar by Cycle Visions here in San Diego that I really want on my TBA...
Question is, side plates...I heard somewhere that the HD Softail Deuce (FXSTDLMNOP) plates work on the TBA...any truth to this? Anyone know of any other side plate that could work? Or do I need to run back to my buddies water jet and cut my own?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

The HD Duece sissybar mounts under the seat, not to the fender struts. Before I mounted the Duece backrest, I looked at a lot of sissybar setups and the one that looked the closest was a Honda Shadow. If it were me, I would head down to the Honda Dealer with a tape measure and check the distance between the fender strut bolts and the width of the fender. There are plenty of aftermarket places to get honda accessories from to possibly work for you.
BTW, when are you going to post a pic of the whole bike? The ones you have posted look good.

Thanks for the kind words and the wisdom. I'll check out my local Honda shop soon. Let me get my bike back from the Triumph dealership today or tomorrow and I'll get some better photos (went in for its 6k service).

I have plug and play sissy bar bracket, it mounts under the seat also, but Dyna bars fit it.

I'm looking for something that mounts to the rear struts.

This is funny, as I type this I have my girlfriend running back and forth calling me with the measurements on her Honda Magna (You know, the one where the bag brackets fit our bikes) and I am looking to see if we can fab their systems up to fit ours. There are tons of good racks, bars and such for the Hondas out there and way cheaper than the Triumph stuff. And the Honda chrome stays on! I was going to start a new thread once I got all the measurements done. Stay tuned.

OK, that was quick, here's the initial measurements: She said: The side mounting bolts, center to center, are "about" 9½ inches apart (front to back). The fender is 8¾ inches wide at the bottom (side to side). Where the luggage rack and sissy bar are connected it is 9½ inches wide on the inside. Take your tape measure out to your bike and see how this lines up with ours.

Funny you sould mention that Pat. Last night I was at a local Honda dealer bike night, so I wandered inside to their showroom. They had a VTX 1800 fully loaded with a bunch of accessories that had a full sheet of paper listing the add ons and how much they were. I couldn't believe some of the prices. A sissy bar and luggage rack was $600. The bags were leather, but they weren't that big and they listed for $750. A tool sized bag that strapped to the handelbar was $250. All told with accessories, the bike was priced at $17,500. Comparing their prices with Triumph's similar stuff, I'm starting to think we're getting off easy.
Of course when you look at aftermarket catalogs, you can get these items much cheaper for a Honda, and as we all know it's pretty much non-existant for our bikes. But comparing Honda's OEM stuff to Triumph's, I was amazed by the difference.

Hey Pat why didn't she just measure yours up too while she was at it? Or don't you want her near your bike?
