Hi all and thanks for your comments- I decided to change the speed of the video, speeding it up and slowing it down for a number of reasons
1.The original video (Garbage-special) has a brilliant space ship/flash gordon theme which also has its speed altered (
garbage-Special )- I think this may have influenced me.
2.The tune selected is 3.25mins long and the video footage stretched over 60 minutes- selecting a theme to glue together the footage and give a fair representation of the ride meant either major cutting down or speeding up- no points for guessing which way I went- however- I am genuinely open to suggestions asto alternatives.
3.I too spotted the sheep (Harley riders) and hopefully plan to return one evening-one ..im sure gave me the eye..I just need to find my wellington boots.. she was lush!
5.I used a number of cameras and 1 bullet camera for the shoot. A number of clamps were used- but the most important thing isto get cameras with "steady shot"- or "image stabilisers"- The shoot was the most expensive to date as I lost a wideangled lens and a sony camcorder mini-dv of 3 years which gave up the ghost- resulting in no rear shots of overtakes ( seen in the later part of the other fazer video (
previous video with back shots & overtake ) - this not only miffed me off, but also limited my already limited directors options!
6.I was looking to offer an alternative motorbike video -as alot- although good- have just a front view through the screen. I did overdo the change of shot too much though- but this was down to no5
7.The shoot took place in Rosedale (
Rosedale,NorthYorkshire Moors ) which is the North Yortkshire Moors, also known for the Yorkshire TT at nearby Helmsley- where the farmyard party is due to take place (16th June)
8. I will take some shots of by bike with set up of clamps and post them here.(if you are into mechano or have any spare broom sticks and duct tape...dont throw it away!)
Finally- if anyone has seen any good vids/clips, where camera angles/tricks/split screens/ghosting etc are exploited, I would be keen to see them to try to improve!
thanks again for the input
Regards
