I was amazed at how high these machines rev which I discovered when I installed my tach yesterday. I'm used to machines that operate a few K below the Bonny.
They really begin to pop at 5K, and pull hard right up to the rev limiter. If I'm in traffic I keep mine at 4K or above.
I have to get the feel for how I am riding this beauty now that I can see the engine speed. One thing I will undoubtedly solve is that I am endlessly trying to kick the beast up one higher gear - a gear that does not exist. At least I will know that I am in 5th now once I correlate the tach readings with road speed.
As an aside, I don't want to change the sprokect, because I am not prepared to give up low end performance.
