Benny,
Lets backup, you have to explain in detail everything you have done so far to the carbs.
Did you pull the bowls off and and mess with the jets ? There are several small parts that need to be put back in order and they are very easy to lose (don't ask me how I know).
You have to be extermly carefull when you pull the caps off to get the needles the rubber diaphram has to be seated correctly or you are going to get the results you are speaking of. Follow Pat's instuctions and make sure they are seated correctly.
