The factory air box is basically 2 pieces - the rear most piece is behind the l/h side cover and is basically just a resonator. It connected to the front box by a tube about 2in in diameter (electrical outlet is there in pics). The front box is a split design with the air filter sandwiched in the middle.
I think the "velocity stacks" are just decorative. He claims use of the stock filter, which means he should be using the front half of the airbox and the rest is decorative covering.
Nice looking but overkill for a bike that is basically stock except for the pipes
